Lady Beavers Look Forward to the weekend ahead!
The Lady Beavers Tennis Team will travel to Waverly this weekend to play Wartburg and University of Dubuque in a dual match. The Beavers returned last weekend from Dubuque and Cedar Rapids in what proved to be a promising road trip. Our team showed a lot of poise as we had to battle with only 5 players to try to win a match, as Nicole Hansen injured her knee last Friday in our first match vs. Loras. We competed well for going into our matches being 2 positions down. Though we have not won our first match as of yet we have shown much promise in the way we have competed. Jennifer Flint recorded 3 match wins, 2 in singles play and 1 in doubles with Megan Anderson, and has shown steady improvement with each match. Promising freshman, Megan Anderson also recorder 2 singles match wins and 1 doubles vs. Coe College. Captain Jamie Anliker and sister Katie Anliker recorded their first doubles play and have shown much improvement with each match play. Anna Lafontant has improved also on her match play. Nicole Hansen will be returning to our lineup this weekend to give us a spark.Posted by McCadamsK [Women's Tennis] ( September 14, 2007 11:44 AM ) Permalink | Comments[0]
