Baseball weather update

With the forecast of rain at or near 100% for parts of the weekend, making a call on our games is going to be difficult.  Here is what we are thinking at the present time (Thursday afternoon).  In order to get all three games in, we are going to have to do everything possible to play on Friday night.  The forecast is for a break in the rain from 2pm-2 am on Friday.  If this remains the same, we will try and play our 9-inning game on Friday night beginning at 6 pm.  Unless the forecast changes, our next best chance to play will probably be on Sunday.

Our makeup policy is that no more than 18 (scheduled) innings are to be played on one day.  We also cannot play these weekend series past Sunday, so you can begin to see the dilemma.

I will call Simpson at 9:30 am Friday, with an initial decision.  Without a doubt we need to stay away from heavy downpours.  Even with the entire infield covered, our outfield can only take so much water.  So some of those factors will be included in our decision making process.

Continue to check back here with an update on the schedule, throughout the weekend.
