Brandi Sykora

Brandi Sykora, born Oct. 17, 1985, is a 21 year old from Smithland, IA.  She is a junior pitcher from Westwood High School in Sloan, IA.  Brandi is an athletic training major and plans to attend grad school and become an athletic trainer working in a small college or university after graduation.

Brandi is a member of the Iowa High School Softball Hall of Fame.  She recorded over 100 wins during her high school career and was a 1^st team all-state pitcher.  While wearing a Beaver uniform, Brandi has been named to both the 1^st (2006) and 2^nd (2005) all-conference teams as a utility player.  She has also been named the IIAC Player of the Week twice.

Brandi chose BVU because of the strong athletic training program, the beautiful campus, and the opportunity to play softball.  In Brandi’s spare time she enjoys riding horses, watching her sister play ball, and hanging out with her friends.  She also enjoys watching movies.  Her favorite song is Far Away by Nickelback.  During the summers Brandi enjoys giving pitching lessons to young softball players.

Brandi is the daughter of Dale and Roxanne Sykora.  She has an older brother Luke and a younger sister Jalene.
