Central Games
Yesterday was an ugly day in all aspects. First of all, the weather was frigid. I don’t know what the temperature was for
sure, but the high wind gusts only made it colder. It snowed most of the way down to Pella. The standing water along the roads had turned
to ice overnight because of the bitter temperatures. Needless to say it was far from ideal
softball weather!
Despite the cold, we went on with the games. The Dutch took both games from us by scores
of 12-1 and 14-3. We had a bad inning or
two each game to give Central the advantage.
We are now busy regrouping and focusing on eliminating those bad
innings. We know we have the potential
to be a great team; we just have to figure out a way to reach our potential
every time we set foot on the field. We
will be ready to do this on Saturday, April 7th as we travel to Dubuque to take on
Loras. The double-header will begin at
2:00. The forecast calls for a high of
34 degrees and a chance of snow showers so hopefully we will get the games in!
