About Me

I am a broadly trained biologist who promotes a solid background in the biological sciences and encourages undergraduate research. My research interests are in animal behavior and avian breeding biology. I have largely focused on birds as my study subject, but have conducted research in fishery population biology and disease ecology. My current research focuses on the breeding ecology of the cooperatively breeding American Crow. See here for more information on my population of marked crows in Storm Lake, Iowa.
