I'm currently ending my first year at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa. My academic goals at this institution include the following:

1. Maintain a GPA of 3.5 - 4.0, though I feel that education itself is far more important than grades.

2. Take courses covering a variety of subjects in order to graduate with a complete, well-rounded education.

3. Earn a degree in Political Science, or

4. Earn a degree in Music Education (Instrumental), or

5. Earn degrees in both Political Science and Music Education

I am involved in extra-curricular activities, as well. Throughout the next three years, I know that I will be involved in the following groups:

1. Student Senate: I hope to be a member of the Executive Board of Student Senate in my junior and senior years.

2. BVU Concert Band: I play the clarinet, and hope to be the leader of that section next year.

3. BVU Concert Choir: I currently sing alto, and hopefully in the future I won’t be forced to sing soprano (though I probably will).

4. BVU Jazz Choir: I would like to be part of the dance competitions this group takes part in.

5. KBVU: Next year, I will be the News Director on the campus radio station, KBVU The Edge. I hope to be on the air as a DJ starting this summer.

6. SAB: I plan to join the Student Activities Board.

7. College Democrats: I hope to eventually hold an executive position in this group.

8. Student M.O.V.E.: Next year, I plan to join this volunteer organization.

There are many other groups on campus that I would like to be involved in, if my schedule allows it. The organizations that I feel are important, and would like to be a part of, include the following:
