Most of the edible composites are herbs and spices.
Echinacea is often used to prevent colds and the artichoke is easily recognizable as food.

Chamomile, which looks much like an everyday daisy,  is often used to make teas. It is a known to be a calming or soothing herb.
Curry is a spicy herb used to spice up rice dishes and even flavor crackers.
